POLICY PRIORITIES
• Utilising the Recovery and Resilience Funds to achieve improved economic footprint and sustainable growth
• Accelerating the digital transformation of the public sector and of businesses, speeding up the deployment of
grid infrastructure, and investing in equipment while upgrading employees’ digital skills
• Developing a new industrial policy informed by the competitiveness and comparative advantages of each region
• Providing initiatives for internationally marketable goods of high added value, which promote targeted outward
orientation and dynamic integration into international value chains
PROPOSED ACTIONS
• Establishing specific goals and key performance indicators for institutional representatives (e.g. universities
partnering with international institutes and the market), aiming to change the culture and mentality.
• Establishing procedures to assess the quality of public services
• Designating and allocating funds to local authorities, to promote and develop business opportunities
• Finalising initiatives that will render the chain of value of Greek businesses more competitive (e.g. deregulating
professions, rationalising energy costs, modernising supply chains, and more efficiently interconnecting freight
corridors)
