                                      t is with great pleasure that we wrap up this third edition of the annual Compass report
                                      by the Council on Competitiveness of Greece—a report that has carved out a place for it-
                                      self as a trusted multi-faceted tool for developing forward-thinking structural policy. Each
                                  Iyear, Compass produces a thorough overview of the country’s competitiveness, looking
                                   at the challenges and opportunities facing Greece as well as the role of Greek industry and
                                   business, synergistically as well as independently, always with one single purpose: to boost
                                   competitiveness as a key means to achieving strong economic growth and social progress.
