PILLARS OF COMPETITIVENESS
The Competitiveness Council on Greece, taking into account the results and the analysis of all the indices consulted,
has developed a dynamic approach based on five pillars, which comprise the country's competitiveness framework. This
approach highlights the reasons for low competitiveness scores, puts forth pertinent suggestions for improvement and
allows for tracking and comparison to other countries over time.
The objective is not only to register the current situation but also to more widely assess the immediate prospects for the
country’s competitiveness, taking into account the Government’s ongoing initiatives and the developments that shape the
competitiveness landscape.
The overall evaluation framework has been fashioned as a “compass” based on five pillars, which allow us to monitor the
competitiveness of the country as a whole:
