CALL TO ACTION
Taking into account the conclusions of analysis and deliberation, three main initiatives emerge which, combined with taking
advantage of opportunities resulting from the implementation of the “Greece 2.0” plan, are considered capable of providing
further bolstering of the country's competitiveness, in a meaningful manner.
1 Focusing growth initiatives and actions on a local and hyperlocal level, according to

the strategic advantages of each area and its capacity to produce competitive business
clusters. The utilisation of the diverse competitive advantages of the country's regions
can result in products and services with added value, and help to attract targeted
strategic investments. This type of initiative can result in extroverted companies that
have the potential to dynamically participate in international value chains.
2 Drawing a strategic plan to align worker skillsets to market demands on a sectoral

level, according to both the current domestic and international conditions, and future
trends. Continued training and the development of new skills (re-skilling) can bridge
the gap between the unemployed and fields/sectors with significant demand, while
skill upgrades (up-skilling) are required, in order to adapt human resources and the
economy to the changes brought upon by technology and by future trends.
